About Us
Democracy Vineyards is located in gorgeous Nelson County, Virginia. Once a vibrant apple operation, a portion of the orchard has been cleared and planted with seven varietals for wine grape production. Democracy Vineyards will also remain an active “Ginger Gold” apple operation.

- June 2013 – A big month for Democracy, June brings our new 2012 reds, a boatload of festivals, the return of our white wine sangria, and plenty of tasting room events! - Wine Festivals & Tastings! – June is a big month for wine festivals and we will be all over the state meeting, greeting, and pouring our wines for you. Festival volunteers are always gratefully welcomed so please get in touch if you'd like to join us on the road. details»
- In the Tasting Room – Beautiful new cabinets have been installed allowing us to display many of the awards won by Democracy wines. Do come admire them – along with the exquisite stained glass picture created by our friend Joan Mummery that now overlooks the tasting room. details»
